Shabby Chic Bedroom makeover

 Hello my Shabby loving friends!
It is spring time in my home and that means loads of spring cleaning and painting things white!!
I have been wanting to paint my bedroom set white for some time now.
I finally decided to go for it! I have had this furniture for years and it was beautiful as it was, but I have been ready for a change.Click here to view the Shabby Chic Bedroom makeover video tour.

Here is the after photo of my nightstand, bed, picture and dresser!!
I actually mixed up my own chalk paint to do this project.
It was super simple!
The recipe I used was easy just mix 1 cup of  latex paint with 1/2 cup of baking soda.
I suggest to mix this very well and only mix it up right before you plan your project.
The finish of the paint was a little grainy but that doesn't bother me a bit because I wanted the shiny furniture to have more of a vintage feeling.

I was super lucky to find a King size bedding set at our local resale shop. It was brand new in the package and I only paid $15!!! Say what???
Let me tell you I was over the moon excited!!!
I added these sweet pillow shams that are a Marie Antoinette quilted pattern. I found these at our local Cadwell's flea market booth in my sweet friend Beth's booth.
They are a King size sham and you can find king size pillows at Wal-Mart for $8.88. They are for decoration and I love how they give the bed a really comfy cozy feeling!
My favorite things to decorate with are soft rose fabrics, scrolly mirrors, heart pillows, vintage painted Shabby furniture, rose plate and other various vintage treasures.
I love vintage pieces that have a history behind them.
The sweet dress on the dress form is from a lovely lady I met, it was from her debutante ball!
Her story was precious.

My mom is definitely the one who got me hooked on vintage treasures.
She always furnished our homes with neat vintage and antique pieces.
She blessed me with all of the lamps in this room. Of course I had to paint all of the bases of the lamps a Shabby Chic white.
The photo above our bed was a sweet gift for me from my husband Josh for our Anniversary.
I hope you enjoyed this Shabby Chic bedroom makeover tour.
Don't forget to check out the video to see close ups!~
Thank you so much for stopping by.
Much love my darlings,

Shabby Chic Glam Pantry Makeover

 Hello lovely dolls!!!
I am so excited to share with you my Shabby Chic Kitchen Pantry Makeover!
This pantry went from drab to fab!
I challenged myself to try to use only Dollar Tree organizers!
Click below to visit my start to finish video of how I transformed this tiny space!
So here is the disorganized mess before photo!
I had to take everything out to even begin this project.
Then I cleaned the walls and shelves.
After I gave everything a good tidy up, I painted the walls and shelves white.!
I found these large Dollar Tree plastic bins and then added some pretty Shabby Chic Rachel Ashwell fabric to the outside.

I also found these cute little glass jars and pink labels at Dollar Tree.
They were perfect to store my sugar, flour and marshmallows.
The pink letters and tiny pink containers I found at Michael's craft store.
I could not resist the bling!

I am so excited with how this project turned out!
I used Glidden pre tinted white semi-gloss paint from Wal-Mart and it worked perfect!
I hope this inspires you to transform a tiny space in your home!
Thank you so much for stopping by!
xoxo

Shabby Chic Home Tour w/ Lorena @Shabbysweets

I am so very excited to share with you my
"Cottage of the Month series!!"
The April "Cottage of the Month" is Lorena from Shabbysweets!
Let's take a tour of her beautiful home!
~Lorena is an absolute precious doll and my Shabby Bestie!
I am beyond blessed to have her friendship in my life plus the added bonus that she loves Shabby Chic decorating as much as I do!~
 How cute is her kitchen?
Her heart is full of LOVE and JOY for her precious family!
I just adore this family with all my heart!
I asked Lorena to share with me what brings her heart JOY and here is what she had to say...
"I feel as though decorating is a way of life. It creates an atmosphere that is not only bright and cheery but romantic. I want my personal style to reflect through my home and I want all those that come through to feel comfortable and inspired as well. It really is art and a way of self expression. It's therapy. What I would want people to know me best is as a devoted wife and mother. God comes first and my family is everything to me. I love my flower garden! I love painting and re purposing furniture. My husband helps me maintain it all as well. I have 5 flea market booths.
I started junking as a full time job in 2008. I am #67 at Cadwell's in Branson,Mo.
I also do eBay full time and have an Etsy store, and a Facebook page called Shabbysweets." A huge thank you to Lorena for sharing her heart and her art with us!~xoxo

How sweet is this Easter mantel!

 I just love this office!
So inspiring!

Thank you so much for stopping by!
A huge thank you to Lorena from Shabbysweets for being my April Cottage of the month!
A beautiful heart and a beautiful home!

Shabby Chic Pink Bathroom Tour~ Clean & Declutter KOMARI METHOD video

 Hello friends!
It's that time of year again!~
Spring has sprung and I am getting into the "Spring Cleaning" decluttering mode!

I have been loosely following the
KOMARI METHOD
for decluttering my home.

~Click here to join me as I clean and declutter my Shabby Chic pink bathroom!~

Here are some of my favorite
KONMARI DECLUTTERING
STEPS
1.Imagine your dream space

2.As you declutter, hold each item and ask yourself..."Does this item spark JOY?"

3. Discard or donate items you do not need. Make sure each item has "home"

I usually don't decorate alot in my Bathroom but I could not resist creating a sweet little springtime vignette on top of my cabinet!~
One of my favorite things to decorate with are vintage plates!

I love this sweet Marie Antoinette style vintage picture I found at a flea market!~

Thank you so much for stopping by!
I hope your are inspired to do some spring cleaning and decluttering!
I hope you enjoyed my Shabby Chic Pink Bathroom room tour!~
